Missing Persons
Missing Persons and Skip Tracing is used by Advanced Tactical Solutions LLC (ATS), to trace and locate people who have disappeared, whether intentionally, or not. Skip tracing is a service that involves collecting as much information as possible about people who are missing, and then analyzing and verifying the information in order to locate them.
One of the most common reasons ATS Investigators use skip tracing services is to help a private individual who is trying to locate a missing child, parent, relative or friend who has disappeared. Sometimes their reason for disappearing is unknown. Lawyers will often hire ATS Investigators to find individuals who are involved in a legal issue. Sometimes these individuals do not know they need to be found or sometimes they have disappeared intentionally.
Sometimes it is obvious why someone has disappeared. These cases often involve outstanding debts on legitimate contracts, or the recovery of money taken under false pretenses. Skip tracing is often used to locate an individual who owes money, commonly referred to as a debtor. Locating a debtor’s assets is done through an asset investigation but is often conducted at the same time as skip tracing which locates the debtor, not the assets.
Surveillance is the covert observation of people, places and vehicles, which law enforcement agencies and private detectives use to investigate allegations of illegal behavior. Advanced Tactical Solutions LLC (ATS), uses techniques ranging from physical observation to the legal electronic monitoring of conversations. ATS surveillance investigators gather information about a person, or subject, at the center of an investigation. ATS Surveillance investigators may conduct video surveillance, perform background checks, research fraudulent activity, draft reports about findings, and upload evidence into a management database.
Advanced Tactical Solutions LLC (ATS), skip tracing and missing persons services are usually based on a flat rate and have a cost range for a basic search, to a rush search.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a private investigator?
A private investigator — also known as a PI, Private Detective or Private Eye — is someone that is hired to undertake an investigation. Most states require PIs to be trained and licensed. Investigators often have a law enforcement and/or a military background.
Do private investigators have to be licensed?
Most states require a private investigator to be licensed. Some states have very strict requirements to obtain an investigative license while others have no requirements. Many states have online public databases you can use to verify an agency’s or individual’s investigation license. Our Georgia state license is: #PDSC001752
Who hires private investigators?
People hire Private Investigators for a vast array of reasons. Although, the reasons may be different each client is seeking specific information that they would be unable to acquire on their own. ATS is able to fill in the missing links for law firms, corporations, insurance companies, private parties and entities not involved with the government or police all have reasons to procure the services of a private investigator.
What should I do before hiring an investigator?
It is important that you perform your due diligence before hiring a company. You should do the following: ask for and check references, obtain their license number and check with the state licensing board to make sure they are current and have no complaints. It may also be a good idea to check for complaints with the local Better Business Bureau.
Will my case be confidential?
Yes, we keep every aspect of all cases confidential. Our client’s privacy is essential. Regardless of what type of investigation is needed, all communication is secure. When our private investigators are out in the field, they are discreet and keep all confidential material secure. Although not every investigation needs to be discreet, all client information is held with great confidence.
How do private investigators charge?
In the majority of cases, private investigators will charge an hourly rate. Hourly rates can vary. Nearly all investigators will ask for a retainer fee before taking a case. It is unlikely you will find an investigator willing to do just one or two hours of investigative work. We at ATS also have flat rates for some specific types of jobs.
Can private investigators carry a gun?
Private investigators may carry a weapon as long as they have a permit to do so. Their private investigator license does not authorize them to carry a weapon; they must be certified yearly by the state of Georgia and pass a stringent firearm assessment for handling and shooting.. (All of our investigators are legally armed)
Do you do child custody caes?
Child custody investigations can be tough for not only the parents, but the children also. Our child custody investigators focus on what outcome is best for the children. If you feel the other party is unfit to have custody of your child, we can investigate and get you the evidence you need.
Are your results admissible in court?
Yes, evidence collected by a licensed private investigator collected legally is admissible in court. Often, the private investigator who collected that evidence is requested to court to testify to its validity.
My spouse is having an affair, can you prove it?
Unfortunately, we receive these calls all too often, but this means that we are familiar with conducting these types of investigations. We can search residential history for any unknown or new addresses. We can search social media accounts for any evidence of this type of occurrence. Also, surveillance is a good option to obtain real-life photos and videos of anything that happens on the day(s) of surveillance. Our clients are provided with all results we attain.
I’ve contacted the police, can I still use a private investigator?
Yes, regardless of if the police are looking into a case or not you can retain the services of a private investigator. In a lot of cases the private investigators will work in conjunction with the police and conduct their own detailed investigations. Private investigators have the advantage of working on one case at a time and can apply the focus and dedication needed to effectively solve cases that the police may not have the time or resources necessary.
How long will a private investigation take?
Depending on the complexity of the case, the length of time for a complete investigation could take less than a day up to months. As a client, you are in charge of how in depth you want the investigation to go. We work efficiently throughout your case as no time is wasted time.
